The unit is fitted with 2 x 6 Watt UV-C globe.  The unit is used for surface sterilization of objects only.  The light can not be illuminated onto people or animals. 

 

How does the Steri Clean ‘clean’ your surfaces?

 

The UV-C lamps in the Steri Clean produce a very specific wavelength (254nm) of light which illuminates your object and pass through the cell walls of bacteria, mold, spores, fungus and virus to impair their DNA. Once the DNA is compromised, the cells die and hence render the organism useless. Let there be light!

 

OPERATOR'S MANUAL

 

The light is passed over the object in a slow systematic motion until the entire surface area has been exposed.  For the best result the light needs to be a maximum of 5cm above the object.  The exposure time should be at least 30 seconds.
